Local Area
Often referred to as Pembrokeshire’s jewel in the crown, Tenby has so much to offer. Tenby is probably the most iconic and well-visited seaside town in Wales. Steeped in ancient history and surrounded by imposing medieval stone walls, Tenby has seen many changes through time, but it’s been on the leisure map for over 200 years. With all that experience, the people of Tenby certainly know how to offer each and every visitor an unforgettable time.
When you visit Tenby you will discover a maze of cobbled streets, surrounded by four fantastic sandy beaches, each of which is within a few minutes’ walk from Flint House Tenby. Aside from the colourful houses and stunning coastal backdrop, the narrow streets now play host to an eclectic mix of independent businesses ranging from coffee houses, bars and restaurants to beautifully curated gift shops and privately owned boutiques. During July and August the town centre is traffic free allowing bars and cafes to set up alfresco dining during the day.
Walkers will benefit from having the Pembrokeshire coastal path on their doorstep and golfers will find the oldest golf club in Wales a 5 minute walk away. We can help you book tee times and recommend the best times to play.
From the harbour you can catch a boat to visit Caldey Island, go sea fishing or view local wildlife. Get your adrenaline rush with a coasteering trip around St Catherines Island, hire a jet ski or try a gentle paddleboarding or kayaking session.
There are many local cycling routes you can try. Indeed National cycle route 4 runs through Tenby and you can pick it up a few minutes ride away. Further afield there are world famous beaches, medieval castles and theme parks for all ages – all within a short drive away.
